Police arrested a Canandaigua resident following a disturbance on Chapin Street.
Investigators found that Sean Rankin, 57, of Canandaigua violated an active court order.
He’s accused of going to a protected party’s residence there.
Rankin then fought police as they attempted to take him into custody.
He was charged with criminal contempt and resisting arrest.
Both of those charges will be answered at a later date.
