A tragic accident claimed the life of an Oswego woman early Thursday morning. Seana Doyle, 31, was allegedly hit by a car driven by her boyfriend on Byer Road around 2:12 a.m., as reported by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office. Following the incident, the boyfriend immediately called 911. Doyle was subsequently rushed to Oswego Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Initial findings from the Sheriff’s Office indicate that the boyfriend was driving a 2010 Nissan SUV westbound on Byer Road when the incident occurred. The road, predominantly unlit and damp at the time, may have played a role in the accident. Video evidence suggests the boyfriend applied the brakes just prior to the collision. Further investigation revealed a possible miscommunication between the couple regarding Doyle’s transportation home.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation and urges anyone with pertinent information to contact them at 315-349-3412.
