Sabres hold off Senators in high-scoring affair

The Buffalo Sabres bounced back in a big way on Tuesday night, beating the Ottawa Senators 6-4 at the Canadian Tire Centre and improving to 3-4-0 on the season.

Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson scored twice for Buffalo, while Zemgus Girgensons and Alex Tuch added a goal each.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 33 saves in his first game this season, 19 of which came in the third period.

Buffalo went 1-for-2 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will get a couple of days off after playing back-to-back days and will return to action Friday night when they face the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center.
