State police from Canandaigua arrested a Newark man on charges of larceny following an incident at a Walmart in the town of Hopewell on October 20.
Responding to the report, troopers identified a red Ford Escape fleeing the scene.
The vehicle was later located at the crossroads of County Road 22 and State Route 21 in Canandaigua.
Following an investigation, the driver, identified as Daniel G. Vandewalle Jr., 44, of Newark was arrested on one count of petit larceny.
The charge will be answered at a later date.
