Virginia Taft, a 35-year-old resident of Montour Falls, was sentenced to state prison following her conviction for several burglaries within Schuyler County.
Last month, Taft was found guilty on charges of burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, both classified as felonies.
Schuyler County Judge Matthew Hayden handed down a 2-to-6-year sentence for the burglary conviction and a separate 1-to-3-year sentence for the possession charge.
Notably, the sentences will be served concurrently. In addition to her prison term, Taft has been mandated to pay restitution for the damaged and stolen property.
