Village of Clyde will conduct hydrant flushing on Oct. 27

  • Staff Report

Residents are advised that on Friday, October 27, 2023, the Village of Clyde will be flushing all hydrants throughout the village. The flushing is scheduled to take place from 2:00 am to 6:00 am.

Village officials are urging residents to minimize their water use during the flushing hours. Specifically, they recommend avoiding laundry activities during this time to prevent potential water quality issues.

In the event that households experience cloudy or dirty water, residents are instructed to periodically run their cold water faucets only. Continuous water flow is discouraged.

The hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance procedure that helps ensure the village’s water supply remains clean and functioning optimally. Such initiatives are instrumental in clearing sediments from mainline pipes.

If water issues persist after a significant period of flushing, residents are encouraged to reach out to the Village of Clyde Water Department for assistance at (315) 923-3971.
