Syracuse drops third straight in blowout loss at Florida State (full coverage)

Syracuse football suffered its third consecutive loss on Saturday afternoon, falling 41-3 to No. 4 Florida State (6-0) at Doak Campbell Stadium. With the loss, the Orange dropped to 4-3 on the season.

The Syracuse offense, once again, had trouble moving the ball down the field as they were held to 261 yards of offense, 124 of which came on the ground. On top of that, the Orange went 6-for-19 on third down, resulting in nine punts.


Garrett Shrader completed 9-of-21 passes for 99 yards before being taken out of the game in the fourth quarter for backup Carlos Del Rio-Wilson.

LeQuint Allen carried the ball 19 times for 110 yards, his third game this season with over 100 yards rushing.

Damien Alford and Umari Hatcher caught two passes each for 37 and 36 yards, respectively.
