Hollerhorn Distillery reopens 18 months after fire: Naples community celebrates resillience

Almost 18 months after a devastating blaze, Hollerhorn Distilling in Naples, Ontario County, is set to mark its grand reopening.

The May 2022 fire caused significant damage, taking down the tasting rooms, storage, and office spaces, though the distillery itself remained intact.

Owners Karl and Melissa Neubauer emphasized the vital role the Naples community played in their decision to rebuild.

Visitors to the newly reopened Hollerhorn Distilling, originally established five years ago, will notice several modifications. The expanded kitchen aims to be more efficient, reflecting the increasing importance of food at the distillery.

The bar area is now more spacious, and the outdoor porch and deck offer additional cover.

The grand reopening aligns with their annual “Hollerween” party on October 28, featuring live performances and a costume contest. The Sunday Social Happy Hour Series is also slated to resume next month.

“It has been a long journey to get to today from where we were over 16 months ago, and we are exhausted, emotional, nervous, but underneath it all we are still as excited to welcome you all here as we were over 5 years ago ❤️. We would like to invite you all to the official ribbon cutting ceremony tomorrow afternoon at 3:30pm if you can make it. If not, we hope you can stop in if even just to say hello and see the newly designed space…we have many little details to dial in, but those will be fun additions to share as we progress into 2024. To our friends, and this loving community, THANK YOU! You’ve stood by us, lifted us, and cheered us on the entire way, and we will never tire of saying we appreciate you. To our staff, we are so grateful for your loyalty, commitment, and hard work to help us arrive at this place, and we are blown away by your talents. We know you are what makes this place shine magic 💫💚🫶🏽🙌🏽 We made it 🙏🏽 See you all soon!” – Hollerhorn Team on Facebook
