On October 11 members of the Clyde Fire Department assisted the Tyre Highway Department in dismantling a beaver dam on Nearpass Road.
The fire crew deployed three tanks, each holding 1,200 gallons of water, alongside a high-pressure line to disintegrate the dam that was causing flooding to adjacent properties.
This unique collaboration showcased the unity between the fire department and the town’s highway unit in addressing non-emergency situations.
Both expressed gratitude for the trust and cooperation exhibited during this community effort.
