The New York Mets announced that shortstop Francisco Lindor underwent surgery Tuesday to remove a bone spur from his right elbow.

The 29-year-old is expected to be ready for spring training.

Lindor is coming off his best season with the Mets since being acquired by the team ahead of the 2021 season. He slashed .254/.336/.470 (.806 OPS) with 31 home runs, 98 RBI, and 31 stolen bases in 2023.

Lindor has eight years remaining on his contract with the Mets, which is set to pay him $34.1 million next season.
