A teen has been handed a 15-year prison sentence in connection with the stabbing death of 19-year-old Arthur Edick last year in Williamson, Wayne County.
Silas Rivera, who was 17 years old at the time of the incident, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in July.
The altercation, which led to Edick’s death, took place during a dispute at a Ridge Road residence on Sept. 16.
Although Edick was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, he was later pronounced dead.
Initially charged with second-degree murder and burglary, Rivera’s case was prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Christine Callanan.
