Port Byron man attacked family member with baseball bat, faces menacing and weapons charges

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Port Byron man following an investigation into a Main Street disturbance.


Scott Corey Jr. was taken into custody on September 27 around 9:20 p.m., according to deputies, after an attack with a baseball bat.

Corey is accused of chasing and attacking another male with a baseball bat. As result, he was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was held at the Cayuga County Jail pending arraignment. The charges will be answered at a later date.
