Police in Canandaigua arrested a city resident after a domestic incident on South Main Street, only to be arrested again days later after another one.
Police charged John Kirby, 51, with aggravated family offense, a felony charge, after he engaged in a physical altercation with a person that resulted in personal property of the victim’s being broken.
He also prevented the person from calling 911, police said.
He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
Less than two weeks after that incident, Kirby was arrested again, for violating a court order. He was charged with aggravated family offense and first-degree criminal contempt.
Both of those charges are felonies. All of the charges will be answered at a later date.
