In conjunction with the American Trucking Associations’ National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) and National Technician Appreciation Week (NTAW), transportation service leader Leonard’s Express announced a series of enhancements to its terminals and repair shops.
These upgrades, spread across five U.S. locations, aim to provide added comfort and amenities to the company’s drivers and technicians. Among the various improvements are fresh paint, updated locker rooms, new seating areas, and air conditioning in specific sites. Each location also received unique additions, from outdoor grilling areas to information centers with desktop computers.
The week-long celebrations further extended to daily raffles for drivers, featuring prizes such as AirPods and Yeti coolers. Technicians were not left out, as the company, in collaboration with partners like Freightliner and Snap-On, provided budgets for new tools and delivered branded apparel to their workplaces. Ken Johnson, CEO of Leonard’s Express, emphasized the significance of truck drivers and technicians, stating, “Over 80% of U.S. communities exclusively depend on trucks for freight transportation. It’s crucial to thank those who ensure America’s consistent momentum.”
