Goodwill of the Finger Lakes announced the latest addition to its leadership team with Janice M. Holland stepping in as the Chief People Officer. With a professional journey spanning over two decades, Holland brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
She is set to head the human resources department, focusing on developing an organizational climate fostering belonging, equity, inclusion, and access. Her responsibilities encompass various areas, including talent acquisition and retention, compliance, benefits, and compensation.
Before her transition to Goodwill, Holland dedicated over 20 years to the University of Rochester, holding pivotal roles in shaping the institution’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. She was instrumental in launching the inaugural Office of Equity and Inclusion in 2020 and played a central role in introducing university staff equity officers in 2019. Her commendable contributions in the community and professional realms have earned her numerous accolades, such as the Lena M. Gantt Distinguished Community Service Award in 2018 and the Presidential Diversity Award by the University of Rochester in 2016. Beyond her professional commitments, Holland is an active member of several community boards and resides in Chili with her spouse, Ken.
