Julie A. (Stewart) Krebbs age 69, of Geneva, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 26, 2023, surrounded by those who loved her dearly.
Julie was born in Penn Yan on September 24, 1954 to Raymond “Pat” and Shirley Stewart. The fourth of five children, Julie was raised in Penn Yan and graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1973 and Coming Community College in 1976.
Julie then embarked on a 42-year career in health care for Finger Lakes Health. Initially as a nurses aid, and then into her position as Activities Director for Living Centers North and South. Julie loved her job, residents and the many people/families she had the opportunity meet and work with. An evening dinner at home never passed without a story of her day and the colorful characters in it. Her life was her family, career and her beloved Yates County.
She is survived by her children, Sara (Jamie) Bloss of Newark and Catherine (Terry) Krebbs of Geneva. She will forever be “Mutter” to Camron, Arabell, Briannah Teeter, Hawklee and Mylah Bloss, Lexi, Gabriel, and Hendrix Bailey; sister to Raymond “Butch” (Ronna) Stewart of Keuka Park, and Ruth Stewart of Seneca Falls; aunt Julie to numerous nieces and nephews, especially to Sherri (George) Stewart-Jakobovic, with whom she shared a lifelong friendship and many adventures. In addition to many cousins who helped create happy childhood memories.
Julie was preceded by her parents, brother David, sister Janice, and nephew Bradley.
The family would like to thank Sandy Hardy for her friendship and support, Living Center South one for their loving care, and Wilmont Cancer Center for the amazing work they do every day.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wilmont Cancer Center 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester N.Y. 14624.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. October 8, 2023 at the Wagner Restaurant in Penn Yan. We invite you to share your memories or extend your condolences to the Krebbs family through her online obituary at www.WeldonFuneralHome.com. Arrangements entrusted to Weldon Funeral Home, Penn Yan.
