Authorities in Ontario County have provided an update on a serious two-car crash that happened in Canandaigua along the busy State Route 332.

Around 7:20 p.m. on Monday first responders were called to the intersection of State Route 332 and Parkside Drive for a two-car crash with injuries.

Karen Rattray, 71, of Canandaigua was traveling north on Route 332 when she attempted a left-turn into the Tom Wahl’s plaza located near Parkside Drive. When she attempted the turn, a motorcyclist collided with her vehicle. That motorcycle was operated by 65-year-old Arnold Christensen, of Rochester.

Deputies said in an update Tuesday morning that Christensen was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by LifeNet. Canandaigua Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad also responded to the scene.

Deputies added that Rattray was also transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The 65-year-old Christensen, who was operating the motorcycle, was ticketed for DWI after the crash, which remains under investigation.
