Friday’s series opener between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field was postponed due to inclement weather.
The contest will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 4:10 p.m. The nightcap will start approximately 30 minutes after the first game is completed.
This postponement comes after Thursday’s game against the Miami Marlins was suspended with two outs in the top of the ninth inning due to heavy rainfall. The Marlins were leading 2-1, and that game will resume Monday in New York at 1:10 p.m.
Tylor Megill and José Quintana are the scheduled starting pitchers for Saturday’s doubleheader.
