Ithaca Tompkins International Airport experienced a temporary suspension of operations on Wednesday due to a landing mishap involving a small general aviation aircraft.

The incident occurred when the aircraft’s tire blew out upon landing, as confirmed by airport officials.

Officials assured that there were no resultant injuries or damages to the aircraft incurred due to the incident.

Airport personnel acted promptly to remove the disabled aircraft from the runway and conducted meticulous checks for any foreign objects or debris to ensure the safety of the runway before resuming air traffic operations.
