The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Clyde woman following an investigation into a domestic incident.
Alexis M. Kendt, a 20-year-old resident of Clyde, was taken into custody following an investigation into a domestic incident that happened late-Wednesday.
Authorities report that Kendt was detained following the incident on numerous charges, including second-degree assault and menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and obstructing governmental administration.
According to deputies, Kendt shattered a window and assaulted a victim multiple times with a wooden bat, before subsequently preventing police efforts to make an arrest post-investigation.
The victim was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital following the incident.
Post-processing Kendt remains in custody at the Wayne County Jail, pending arraignment.
