Mets-Marlins game postponed due to unplayable field conditions

Tuesday’s series opener between the New York Mets and Miami Marlins at Citi Field was postponed due to unplayable field conditions.

The contest will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 4:10 p.m. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first one.

The Mets were eliminated from playoff contention last week, so they will try to play spoiler over the remaining six games, all of which will be against division rivals.
