Coughlin & Gerhart adds Special Counsel Carrie Wenban to team of attorneys

Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Carrie A. Wenban as Special Counsel to its legal team. Wenban was previously a Partner at Levene, Gouldin & Thompson, LLP, bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in the legal areas of Business, Banking, Real Estate, and Commercial transactions.


Wenban is a highly accomplished attorney, having graduated cum laude with a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2000. She went on to earn her J.D. magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2004. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 2005 and the Pennsylvania State Bar in 2013, Wenban is well-versed in the legal landscape of both states.

Throughout her career, Wenban has been an active member of several professional organizations, including the Broome County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. She also served as an Associate  Notes and Comments Editor for the Syracuse Law Review. Wenban’s dedication and commitment to the legal profession have earned her recognition, including membership in the prestigious Justinian Honor Society and selection for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers, Upstate Edition.

Beyond her legal accomplishments, Wenban is deeply involved in her community demonstrating her passion for supporting and enriching the lives of others. She has been an integral part of the Jewish Community Center of Binghamton, serving as the Board President from 2016 to 2019 and continuing to serve as a member of the Board. Wenban also chaired the JCC Early Childhood Center Parent Committee for many years. Additionally, she is a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association Southern Tier Heart Walk.
