Seneca Falls man faces felony charge for using counterfeit money

The Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Shane Harris, a 33-year-old resident this week following his involvement in financial incident at a local business.


Harris is facing charges for criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class C felony, as well as petit larceny.

He is accused of illicitly utilizing counterfeit currency and unlawfully extracting money from the business.

Harris, currently in custody at Seneca County Correctional Facility due to unrelated incidents, is expected to respond to the new charges at a later date.
