Aaron Judge hit three home runs as the New York Yankees (78-76) rolled to a 7-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks (81-73) in the series opener at Yankee Stadium on Friday night.

Judge went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, which included his 33rd, 34th, and 35th home runs of the season. He became the first player in Yankees history to record two three-homer games in the same season.

Estevan Florial plated the other run with a double, finishing the night 2-for-4.

Luke Weaver, making his second start with New York, fired 5.1 scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out three. Jhony Brito allowed one run over 3.1 innings, recording his first Major League save.

The Yankees will try to win the series on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. with Carlos Rodón on the hill.
