A Yates County man faces an array of charges after a sex abuse investigation involving a victim under the age of 13.
Shane E. Gage, 39, of Dundee, was arrested on September 19 by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Bath on multiple charges related to sex abuse.
Gage faces three counts of first-degree sex abuse for acts involving a physically helpless individual and one count for abusing a victim under the age of thirteen while being twenty-one or older. Both charges are Class D felonies.
The arrest followed a Yates County Grand Jury indictment and stemmed from an initial complaint filed by the Yates County Child Protective Services. The alleged incidents, involving a minor, took place in residences within Steuben and Yates Counties.
After processing, Gage was transported to the Yates County Jail.
