A Newark man is in custody after a shots fired investigation over the summer in Geneva.
The Geneva Police Department reported Tuesday that 21-year-old Michael A. Soliday of Newark was arrested on September 14 in connection with a shooting that took place on June 30.
On the evening of the incident, officers had responded to a disturbance at a residence on Lewis Street between Geneva Street and Exchange Street, where a male suspect had fired a gunshot into the home and fled.
No injuries were reported at the time.
Upon investigation, authorities identified Soliday as the shooter who had discharged the weapon with the intention to harm or possibly kill an individual inside the home. Soliday has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a Class C Felony.
The Geneva Police Department is urging witnesses or anyone with additional information to come forward.

After his arrest Soliday was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment and is currently being held on bail.
