Trent Goodrich, 22, of Wolcott, was apprehended on September 13, after avoiding authorities since August 31.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, alongside several other agencies, executed an arrest warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and second-degree robbery on Goodrich.

Acting on intelligence suggesting he was in Wayne County, a collective effort between multiple agencies led to the successful location of the suspect.

However, upon detection, Goodrich immediately made an escape attempt in a stolen vehicle.

This resulted in a brief car chase through Wayne County, which culminated in Goodrich crashing the vehicle into a field. This incident was reported on by FingerLakes1.com here last week.
