Seneca County launches new grant program for small businesses: How to apply for $10,000?

On September 12, the Seneca County Board of Supervisors unveiled the Grow Seneca Grant Program, a new initiative unanimously approved to bolster local small businesses. Funded by $500,000 from the federally awarded ARPA funds, the program aims to distribute the funds equitably, ensuring maximum impact across the county’s economic landscape. The grant is set to serve as a catalyst, fostering economic development, promoting diversity in local commerce, and enhancing job prospects for Seneca County residents.

Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Mike Enslow, emphasized the significance of small businesses in the county, labeling them the “economic backbone.” He further underscored the county’s commitment, noting that the program seeks to provide as much support as possible to these vital enterprises. Individual businesses can receive up to $10,000 through the grant.

For those interested in applying, the Grow Seneca Committee oversees the grant’s administration. Applications are available online on the Seneca County official website: https://co.seneca.ny.us/grow-seneca-initiative/.
