The New York Yankees (76-73) notched their third straight win with a 6-3 victory over the Pirates (69-80) on Saturday night at PNC Park.
Giancarlo Stanton and Oswaldo Cabrera homered. Austin Wells drove in a run with a double, and Estevan Florial followed that with a two-out, two-run single.
Luke Weaver made his Yankee debut and allowed three runs over four innings while striking out seven. The bullpen was outstanding as Jhony Brito (3.0 IP), Ian Hamilton (1.0 IP), and Clay Holmes (1.0 IP) each posted scoreless outings.
The Yankees will try to sweep this three-game series on Sunday with Carlos Rodón on the hill. The first pitch is set for 1:35 p.m.
