The New York Mets (68-78) rolled past the Arizona Diamondbacks, 11-1, on Thursday evening at Citi Field, taking three of four in the series.
Everyone contributed in some way on the offensive side. Jeff McNeil and Jonathan Araúz each homered, while Brandon Nimmo and DJ Stewart each collected two RBI. Pete Alonso and Francisco Alvarez also plated runs.
Kodai Senga tossed a gem, holding the Diamondbacks scoreless over six innings while striking out ten batters. The righty improved to 11-7 on the season.
The Mets will continue their homestand on Friday when they welcome the Cincinnati Reds to town for a three-game series. The first pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m.
