Sodus man had BAC twice legal limit during traffic stop

  • Staff Report

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Michael J. Frank, 53, of Sodus, following a traffic stop.

Authorities allege that Frank was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the stop.

He now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, having a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08% or higher, and other traffic violations.

After being taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing, Frank underwent a chemical breath test that recorded a BAC of .16% — twice the legal limit.

He was subsequently released with a summons to appear in local court at a later date.
