The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on the serious two-car crash that shut down part of County Road 6 on Sunday afternoon.
First responders were called to County Road 6 at White Springs Road in Geneva for a two-car crash.
Investigators determined that 82-year-old Walter Gage, of Geneva, entered the intersection and struck a vehicle operated by 37-year-old Steven Faulkner, of Bath.
Faulkner was not injured. However, the passenger of his vehicle was transported to Geneva General Hospital.
Gage was cited for failure to yield and will answer the charge at a later date in town court. He and his passenger were hospitalized at Strong Memorial with non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.
White Springs and Geneva fire departments responded to the scene, as well as Fingerlakes Ambulance, Phelps Ambulance, and North Seneca Ambulance.
