In celebration of Oktoberfest, War Horse Brewing Company (WHBC) is inviting individuals with strong arms and endurance to its steinholding competition on Saturday, September 23.
The challenge will take place in WHBC’s taproom situated within Three Brothers Wineries & Estates at 623 Lerch Rd, Geneva NY. Participants will engage in five separate contests throughout the day, with each commencing on the hour, from 12pm to 4pm.
Winners from each round will be awarded a 3L WHBC-branded stein and a gift card worth $50.
The traditional steinholding event requires competitors to maintain a full one-liter beer stein at arm’s length, ensuring it remains parallel to the floor. The objective is simple: hold out the longest without spilling. Both novices and experts alike are welcome to participate, and for those less inclined to the physical challenge, spectating is equally encouraged.
Aside from the competition, guests can immerse themselves in the rich military history displayed within WHBC’s WWII-themed taproom, a tribute to freedom’s defenders. For more information, the event details are available online at the provided link.
