Man wanted in Texas taken into custody in Steuben County following fight

On September 6, Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reported the arrest of Raymund D. Gardner, 25, of Fort Worth, Texas, after deputies responded to a report of two individuals fighting in the driving lane of I-390 in the Town of Avoca.

Further investigation revealed that Gardner, identified as one of the individuals involved in the altercation, was also sought by Texas authorities on an active probation violation warrant.

Charged as a Fugitive from Justice, Gardner was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and is currently being held at the Steuben County Jail, awaiting extradition to Texas.
