Eleventh suspect arrested in connection with Ithaca man’s kidnapping and murder

The New York State Police reported a new arrest tied to the abduction and slaying of Thomas Rath, bringing the total number of individuals implicated in the case to 11.

Kysha S. Radcliff, 39, from Dryden, New York, now faces first-degree Kidnapping charges, a class A felony.

This update comes on the heels of an earlier announcement that identified ten other suspects in the case. Of the group, two have been charged with murder, while ten face kidnapping charges.

The investigation originated as a missing person’s inquiry after Rath’s disappearance on May 20.

However, it quickly escalated into a complex kidnapping and murder case spanning two New York counties and even reaching into Maine. Rath’s remains were discovered on Aug. 3 in a shallow burial site located on state property in Candor, Tioga County.

The specifics surrounding his demise remain undisclosed. Police noted that Rath had previous acquaintanceship with a number of the kidnappers. The probe into the case is ongoing.
