A man who assaulted a Corrections Officer last year at the Cayuga Correctional Facility has received an extended prison term.
Darryl Bradshaw was handed an additional 2-4 years to his current sentence following his Attempted Assault conviction, as confirmed by the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office.
Bradshaw admitted his guilt on June 1, 2023, recalling the event from October 16, 2022, when he slashed a Corrections Officer’s neck using a contraband weapon. The attacked officer was part of a team trying to extract Bradshaw from his cell at the time.
