The New York Yankees placed outfielder Harrison Bader on waivers earlier this week, and on Thursday, he was claimed by the Cincinnati Reds, the clubs announced.

Bader, who will be a free agent this offseason, is owed about $800,000 the rest of the season.

The 29-year-old is hitting .240/.278/.365 with 11 doubles, seven homers, 37 RBI, 40 runs, 17 stolen bases in 84 games this season.

The Yankees are set to call up No. 2 prospect Jasson Domínguez from Triple-A on Friday, who will take over Center Field.
