The Geneva Family YMCA is gearing up for “A Night That Matters,” scheduled for Sept. 29 at Cobblestone Restaurant.
This special fundraiser, featuring a live auction of exclusive experiences and items, is set to boost the ongoing capital campaign aiming to raise $350,000. The proceeds will be dedicated to enhancing and broadening the YMCA facility and its offerings.
Mary Bakogiannis, YMCA’s executive director, highlighted that while they’ve received significant support, notably from the Rickey Foundation, further contributions from community pillars are essential for meeting the fundraising target.
Apart from the fundraising focus, the event promises an engaging evening with food, drinks, and entertainment. Charlie Evangelista, chair of the capital campaign steering committee, spoke of the evening’s VIP segment, where attendees can meet with YMCA leaders and the project’s developer, Massa Construction, which has generously provided the event venue. Auction items, ranging from sports collectibles to Finger Lakes air tours, can be previewed on the YMCA website.
Tickets are priced at $60 for individuals and $110 for couples, available online. Opportunities for corporate sponsorship, which offer additional benefits, can be explored by reaching out to the YMCA directly.
