Police in Canandaigua arrested an 18-year-old city resident after an investigation into a stolen vehicle, which later led to a crash.
On August 26 around 1:05 p.m. Hailey Siesto, 18, was arrested for two counts of criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The charges stem from an incident on August 24 where she took a vehicle without the owner’s permission. She then crashed into a utility pole before fleeing the scene on foot.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage and required to be towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported. And Siesto was released on an appearance ticket.
