Newark man wanted on several warrants in Wayne County found hiding in home during investigation

Deputies took a Newark man into custody after an investigation at a Lyons residence over the weekend.

Roderick L. Lampley, 48, of Newark was apprehended by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after being discovered concealed in a Lyons residence.

Lampley faced three warrants from various municipalities. He failed to appear in the Town of Arcadia Court on charges of trespass and petit larceny, and in the town of Lyons over charges of obstruction and trespass.

Furthermore, he was wanted in the village of Newark on an arrest warrant for a similar obstruction charge, as well as another separate incident.

Following his arrest, Lampley was transported to Wayne County Jail, pending a CAP arraignment. He is set to appear in courts across Lyons, Arcadia, and Newark for subsequent legal proceedings.
