Ontario man violates court order by having contact with protected party

Following an investigation into a disturbance in the town of Ontario, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 23-year-old Jasiah Hernandes.

Hernandes faces a charge of second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly violating a court-issued Order of Protection, which explicitly required him to avoid contact with a specific individual.

The violation reportedly took place on August 8 when Hernandes was found in the immediate vicinity of the protected individual.

After the arrest, Hernandes was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and subsequently held at the Wayne County Jail, awaiting CAP arraignment before the sitting judge.
