Deputies: Inmate assaulted corrections officer at Seneca County Jail

A current inmate at the Seneca County Correctional Facility was arrested on charges related to an incident at the jail earlier this month.

On August 22 at around 9:00 a.m., the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office investigators took 30-year-old Johnathon T. Flesch of Seneca Falls into custody on charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The charges arise from an event on August 8 when Flesch allegedly physically assaulted a Seneca County Corrections Officer, leading to injuries.

Moreover, Flesch is accused of intentionally damaging an iPad owned by the Correctional Facility. He is set to appear in Seneca County CAP Court to respond to the allegations.
