Aaron Judge’s first three-homer game helps Yankees snap nine-game skid (video)

Aaron Judge recorded the first three-homer game of his career and collected six RBI as the New York Yankees (61-65) snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 9-1 victory over the Washington Nationals (58-69) on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.

Judge, who came into this game 11 for his last 54, crushed a pair of solo shots and a grand slam, increasing his home run total to 27, the fifth-most in the American League.

DJ LeMahieu belted his ninth long ball, while Anthony Volpe and Everson Pereira chipped in RBI. Harrison Bader tallied two hits, his 15th multi-hit game of the season.

Luis Severino turned in his best outing of the season, allowing just one hit over 6 2/3 shutout innings. Ian Hamilton and Wandy Peralta posted scoreless outings behind him.

The Yankees will try to take two of three from the Nationals on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. Michael King will get the ball, his 12th MLB start.
