Cayuga County prosecutors confirmed the indictment of multiple suspects involved in a high-speed pursuit and an armed robbery incident in Auburn.
Kevin Huntington Jr., 19, faces numerous charges, including three counts of attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer and fourth-degree possession of stolen property. The indictment alleges he aimed to inflict “serious physical injury” to three Auburn officers by attempting to strike them with a stolen vehicle during a chase.
In a separate incident, Huntington was also indicted for second-degree assault linked to an attack at 110 Owasco St.
Furthermore, the grand jury indicted Darryl Jones, 58, and Michael Barski, 36, for an armed robbery on Orchard Street. Jones allegedly robbed a victim at gunpoint, stealing $60 and a cellphone, and together with Barski, attacked the victim with a metal cane.
Both will be arraigned at a later date. Huntington, Jones, and Barski remain in custody at the Cayuga County Jail without bail.
