A fire erupted in the kitchen of the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant on West Union Street around 2:00 p.m. Sunday, prompting response from crews spanning four different fire departments.
The firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the blaze within 30 minutes, successfully preventing any injuries and confining damage to the restaurant’s kitchen area.
While the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, Wayne County Fire Investigators have taken over the investigation. Official statements regarding the incident’s origins are yet to be released.
