The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 32-year-old Cody A Wells after a crash on Leroy Road in the Town of Palmyra.

Upon arriving at the scene where a vehicle was found off the roadway, deputies detected signs of intoxication from Wells, including the smell of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech.

After undergoing standardized field sobriety tests, Wells was taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including DWI, aggravated DWI, and operating without a license.

A breath sample from Wells indicated a blood alcohol content level of 0.23%, nearly three times the legal limit.

After processing at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wells was issued an appearance ticket and is set to face the charges in the Town of Palmyra Court at a future date.
