Former President Donald Trump has decided against holding a previously scheduled Monday press conference where he intended to present new evidence countering charges related to alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Instead, Trump communicated via Truth that the evidence, which he termed “Irrefutable & Overwhelming”, would be introduced through formal legal filings. He emphasized the shift in strategy was due to the advice of his lawyers as they challenge an indictment by a district attorney overseeing Atlanta, a region Trump criticized for its crime rate.

The announcement of the cancellation comes on the heels of new charges from Fulton County, Ga., which alleges Trump, along with 18 associates, plotted to reverse Georgia’s 2020 presidential election outcome. Supporters of the former president have labeled these recent indictments as unfounded and politically driven.
