Police say an Ithaca man has been arrested on attempted murder charges after a shooting in late-July.
On July 29 around 1:51 a.m. police were dispatched to a shooting on East State Street with at least one victim shot.
Upon arrival, police found two victims had been shot after a physical altercation. The suspect, now identified as Qaron Maye, 19, of Ithaca, fled the area.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and on Thursday he was taken into custody around 10:45 p.m.
The 19-year-old was charged with second-degree attempted murder. The investigation remains active, though, so police are asking anyone with information that could help with it to contact them.
