Joshua Wormley, 38, was found to have roughly 800 images and two videos of child pornography on his cell phone in February 2021. Notably, some of the illicit materials depicted prepubescent minors.

The case against Wormley isn’t his first brush with the law on related charges. In July 2017, he was convicted for attempting to possess a sexual performance by a child. The recent sentencing follows a rigorous investigation spearheaded by the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force in collaboration with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
