Ontario County seeks public input for Parks and Recreation master plan

Ontario County will host its second open house on Wednesday, August 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ontario County Safety Training Facility, located at 2914 County Rd 48, to gather community input for the ongoing development of its Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The county encourages residents to attend, offering them an insight into the planning process and an opportunity to share feedback on local recreational facilities.

The Ontario County Parks System, encompassing seven recreational spaces, aims to provide both recreational and educational opportunities to the public.

The feedback collected, both from the open house and a public survey available at SurveyMonkey, will shape the master plan intended to guide park system decisions for the next 10 to 20 years. For further inquiries, Thomas Lyon, Senior Planner, can be reached at [email protected] or (585) 396 – 9698.
